Designer Otto Tang’s passion for design has been decades in the making. With a BTEC Higher National Diploma in Fashion Design from the University of Saidford, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Fashion Design from the University of Huddersfield, he continues to seek out opportunities to learn, grow and evolve his approach to fashion.
Tang embarked on his fashion career with revered designer Lu Lu Cheung, where he honed his skills creating celebrated collections for the Lu Lu Cheung label. As a winner of the Young Designers Contest (Ten Best Collection) organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in 2003, and the Hong Kong New Collection Award in 2005, his work continues to be recognised by the industry in Hong Kong.
In 2015 he launched his namesake brand: Oplus2. With a focus on digital photography prints, his designs transcend trends and gender constructs in collections that evoke a sense of shared nostalgia.
